PRIMARY SUNDAY SUGGESTIONS
APRIL 18, 2020
FROM MISTY JOHNSON
Hello Primary Parents!
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter! Here are some Sunday suggestions for Primary at home from our amazing Misty:
The Come Follow Me lesson for this week is Mosiah 1-3. King Benjamin has his people gather so he can share a message with them. This is like when we all join together in watching or listening to General Conference like we did two weeks ago.
Here’s an idea from the manual that you could try at home this week:
It might be fun for your family to create the setting for King Benjamin’s speech. You could make a small tower and let family members take turns reading King Benjamin’s words while standing on it. The rest of the family could listen from inside a makeshift tent.
Next, watch this fantastic video about how we can serve:
Easy ways you can serve others today:
• Wave to a neighbor
• Call a grandparent on the phone
• Send notes or drawings to people
• Do a household chore like making a bed or putting away laundry (even better, do it without being asked)
• Pray for chances to help someone
A few great songs to go with lesson are:
• I’m Trying to Be Like Jesus (CS #78)
• Follow the Prophet (CS #110)
• Love One Another (CS #136)
• Kindness Begins with Me (CS #145B)
A few weeks ago I asked for short videos of you and/or your family singing a Primary song or church hymn. If you haven’t done it yet, you still have time. Send them to maallred77@yahoo.com as soon as you can. We miss seeing you every week!
And I may do a pre-recorded singing time for next week. We’ll see but that’s possibly something to look forward to.
Have a great week!
Love,
